NYC Engagement Proposals: Anthony and Kimberly
Anthony planned a romantic dinner for his girlfriend Kimberly in Little Italy, but dessert would involve more than just cake!
We coordinated with the restaurant Il Cortile to have our sneaky photographer pretending to be taking pictures for their website. Upon Anthony and Kimberly arriving, they were told their table would shortly be ready. While waiting to be seated, Anthony got down on one knee.

Of course, our sneaky snapper was ready to capture every moment. The newly-engaged couple also posed for an impromptu portrait session prior to dinner. It was one of our favorite NYC engagement proposals this week!
Anthony shared with us their meeting story, and what led him to propose where he did.
How and when did you guys meet?
“I own a boxing gym in Danbury, CT as well as run a non profit organization for kids in our city. Kimberly brought her nephews to my gym to sign them up.”
What was the first thing that attracted you to one another?
“The first thing that attracted me to her was her smile. She had a smile that warmed my heart and i knew instantly that she was a great person. Aside from her smile she was absolutely gorgeous, well spoken and extremely classy.”
When did you know that they were the one?
“From the first day I met her I knew she was special. I would occasionally see her outside of my gym because some of her family are friends of mine. I can’t say there was particular moment when I knew Kimberly was the one for me, but over a period of time I realized that she was one in a million, and I needed her to be in my life forever. She is a true blessing and has made me want to be the best man I can be.”
Why did you choose to propose where you did?
“I chose to propose to Kim at Il Cortile in Little Italy because it is one of my favorite restaurants and a very romantic place. It was her first time there and i knew she would love everything about it. I chose a restaurant also because one of our favorite things to do is to go out to eat, and I know one of her favorite foods in Chicken Parm. Plus, being that Il Cortile is one of my favorite restaurants, proposing there means it is part of our history now and will guarantee me more meals there with her in the future!”
He purchased the ring a Hannoush Jewelers in Danbury, CT.
