Zach and Kerri met at Flower Mound High School in Texas during their last semester of senior year in 2008. They quickly went from acquaintances to friends through their mutual interest in sports and sarcasm.
Because it was senior year, neither of them planned to pursue a relationship, however, they continued to hangout in the summer before parting ways for college.
Despite going to different colleges, they couldn’t help but stay in touch, talking almost everyday. Kerri spontaneously visited Zach one weekend and one weekend was enough for them to finally decide to commit to a long distance relationship.
Zach and Kerri dated long distance all throughout college and after graduating (for a total of almost 7 years). Eventually they were both permanently reunited in Chicago for professional opportunities. During a romantic trip in Boston to celebrate, Zach secured the promise of forever with a diamond ring.
