Chicago Proposal Photography| Wes and Holly
Wes and Holly met in college at Souther Illinois University during senior year. Holly spotted him in their mutual finance class and asked a mutual friend for his phone number to “check on homework assignments”. What she didn’t know was that Wes already had his eye on her for quite some time, which could explain why Holly finished better than him in the class.
From the beginning, Wes knew that Holly was different from anyone he had ever met. “She was smart, caring and really knew how to light up a classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays.”
Holly fell in love with his smile, which quickly became her favorite thing. “His baseball pants didn’t hurt his chances either.” (Wes played for the school’s baseball program.)
Holly knew Wes was the one almost immediate. After 3 months of dating, she could tell that what they had was different- everything felt right. Wes knew after their first date.
Wes chose to propose at North Pond in Lincoln Park, as he had been running by the same spot for the last three years, and it has his favorite view of the city skyline. Now Holly will be running by his side for the years to come.
