College sweethearts Crystal and Daniel met during their freshman year English class at Cal State Fullerton. Crystal’s vibrant purple outfit caught Daniel’s eye, and he headed over to strike up a conversation. They hit it off, and their friendship grew over the course of a year before Daniel asked her out on their first date!
Her gorgeous Kay Jeweler’s ring catches the sunlight during their post-proposal portrait session.“She stood by my side at the hardest of times and never made me feel any less of myself,” said Daniel, explaining how he knew he’d found the one. “She loves me for me, and that makes all the difference.”
When the couple got invited to New Orleans for her cousins birthday, Daniel knew it was the perfect cover for an amazing surprise proposal. He let her cousins in on the surprise so they could help get Crystal toCafé du Monde for beignets before hopping on a horse and carriage to head to Jackson Square. And, as an extra special surprise, he had one of our surprise proposal photographers ready to capture it all!
At Jackson Square, the couple made a wish in the fountain before Daniel turned to her and told her what he wished for: “Ever since I met you, no one else has been worth thinking about. I love you with all my heart. I want you today, and tomorrow, and next week. But most importantly I want you for the rest of my life. Crystal Trujillo, grant me this one wish? Will you Marry Me?”
Without missing a beat, her answer was, “YES!” After the couple had a private moment to celebrate, our photographer introduced himself and joined them for a gorgeous post-proposal engagement session, capturing everything from proposal candids to picturesque portraits!
