Jacob and Mia met 11 years ago, fall of 2005. They were both 11 years old when she moved in next door, and inevitably, they grew up as neighborhood friends, also sharing younger siblings. “I’ve always have had a crush on her, since the day I saw her through our back yards. When we were seniors in high school, we went on our first date.”

Growing up together and being able to frequently see each other, they learned a lot about each other from a young age and watch each other grow and change.

Jacob knew Mia was the one about a year ago. Starting their 20s, he knew it was time to start a new chapter in their lives.

After planning a trip to New York for a family member’s wedding, Jacob researched possible proposal spots online and knew it would be the perfect time and place to propose.
