Jeffrey met Lauren because his best friend was coincidently dating her sister. He was immediately drawn to her beauty upon first meeting. But it was their shared “dorky sense of humor” that created a connection between them. They made each other laugh very easily, even when no one else in the room was laughing with them.
Lauren always heard people talk about “the spark” when first meeting the special someone, but never had experienced it previously. Then Jeff rested his hand on her knee while they were watching TV with friends, and she felt the world stop and it was like they were the only two people in the room.
After meeting, they spent the consecutive five nights staying up late and talking for hours. They both knew their future was together, but Lauren lived in Barbados at the time. When her visit was over, she went back home to pack her bags and came back to live with Jeffrey.

Though they live in Connecticut, Jeffrey wanted to propose to Lauren in NYC, where they travel frequently. He chose the iconic Central Park to surprise Lauren with the promise of forever.
