Lonnie and Kaitlyn grew up in Dallas but went to different high schools. It wasn’t until graduating college and moving back to Dallas that they connected over mutual friends. “We began hanging out all the time… And before we knew it, we were dating.”
At Lonnie’s friend’s housewarming party, one of his friends actually wanted to set him up with a different girl, but something unexplainable just made him gravitate towards Kaitlyn instead.

After nearly 2 years of dating, Lonnie and Kaitlyn decided to move in together. “That was a big test, but it became very clear that she was the one by how great it’s been the past 18 months of sharing a house (and a dog!)”
Lonnie wanted his proposal to be just him and her, so only naturally, he decided to propose during a romantic trip in New York City. He chose Central Park because of the great scenery and nature.
